Question 890906: Two aeroplanes leave two different airports, 900km apart from each other at 9h00 in the morning. They fly towards each other. The one flies at a speed of 250km/h and the other at 350km/h. At what time will they pass each other?
Answer by JulietG(1812) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The airplanes fly 250+350 km per hour. In one hour, they will travel 600km. If they are 900km apart, it will take them 1.5 hours to cover the distance.
If they leave at 0900, they will meet each other at 0900 + 1.5 hours, or 1030.
