First you need to either convert miles to km, or km to miles.
Let's change the smaller number.
1234km/hr = 766.772051220458 miles per hour. Hmmmm, that's going to be messy.
Let's go the other way.
2.5 billion miles = 4023360000.0000005 km
That's better. We'll disregard the .0000005 km and call it 4,023,360,000 kilometers.
Divide the miles by the rate of speed to find the time.
4032360000 / 1234 = 3,267,714.748784441 hours
.
However, the speed of sound is not 1234; it's 12250.44 km/hr
4032360000 / 12250.44 = 329,160.421993006 hours
