Find the total distance from Las Vegas to Chicago. This is the driving distance along a road, highway, and/or freeway. This is NOT the straight line distance. This is of course assuming you are traveling by car.

Then divide that distance by a reasonable average speed (say 50 to 60 miles per hour) to get the approximate time.

Be sure to keep in mind that this is an estimation and you should not completely depend on the time result. If anything, you should round the estimation up to give yourself a nice buffer.
