Question 879640: Allen and freda move towards each other from points 24 km apart. Allen moves at a speed which is 4 km/h faster than Freda. They meet after 2 hours. How fast was Allen moving.
Answer by JulietG(1812)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 In 2 hours, they travel F + (F+4). [Allen is Freda+4]
2F + 4 = 24
Subtract 4 from each side
2F = 20
Divide each side by 2
F = 10
.
If Freda moves 10km in 2 hours, then Allen moves 14km in 2 hours.
14km/2 = 7kmh
