a car travels at 120mph from point A to B. then it travels at 100mph from point B to C. A to B is twice the distance of B to C. what was the average speed of the car.
then it travels at 100mph from point B to C.let distance be x
a car travels at 120mph from point A to B. distance =2 x
time for journey= x/100 + 2x/120
LCD = 700
(7x+10x)/700
=17x/700
total distance = 3x
Average = distance /time
=3x/(17x/700)
=123.5 mph
