rowing boat speed x mph with no current
current speed 6 mph

against current x - 6 mph
with current x + 6 mph

Distance against current 10
Distance with current 60
Time = same equate the time against with time with current
t=d/r
10 /(x- 6 )= 60 /(x+ 6 )
10 *(x+ 6 )= 60 *(x- 6 )
10 x + 60 = 60 x -360
10 x -60 x = -360 + -60
-50 x = -420
/ -50
x= 8.4 mph
