Please help me solve this question: "a car leaves a city at the rate of 60 mi/h and goes 80 miles before a second car follows at a rate of 70 mi/h. How long will it take for the second car to overtake the first? Solve by graphing."
-------------------
When the 2nd car starts, the 1st car is 80 miles ahead.
The 2nd car "gains on the 1st car" at 10 mi/hr (70 - 60).
80/10 = 8 hours to overtake it.
