The westbound train is traveling ________ mph.
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
westbound train -----x mph
eastbound train -------x+20 mph
time = 2hours
distance = 236
since they are in moving in opposite directions combined speed = 2x+20
236 = (2x+20) * 2
236/2 = 2x+20
168 =2x+20
168-20=2x
148=2x
148/2 = x
74 mph
westbound train -----74 mph
eastbound train -------94 mph
