Question 857333: If the speed limit is 65 mph and a person's trip takes 2.5 hours at that speed, how much time does that person save by traveling at 75 mph?
Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
rate times time = distance
65 * 2.5 = 162.5 miles
75 * t = 162.5
t = 2.17 hours
time saved = 2.5 - 2.17 = 0.33 hours = 19.8 minutes = approx 20 minutes
