A boat traveled 3 hours and covered 96 km. Later that day, the boat went another 80 km in 2.5 hours. Find the average speed of the boat.
Solution:
Average speed = total distance travelled / total time taken

Total distance = 96 + 80 = 176 km
Total time = 3 + 2.5 = 5.5 hours

So average speed = km / h.

Hope this helps :)
