Another train starts from amritsar at 3:20pm and moves towards delhi at an average speed of 80 km/h. How far from delhi will the two trains meet and at what time?

Hi,

Let x represent How far from delhi the two trains will meet:

Note train comeing from amristar travels 53¹⁄₃miles before the 4pm train starts from Dehli

 Time = time

 x/60mph = (396 ²⁄₃-x)/80mph 

 ||Multiplying thru by 240 so as all denominators = 1

 4x = 3(396 ²⁄₃  -x) 

      

         7x = 1190

       x = 170mi from delhi the two trains will meet
