then
= 10 m/sec is J's speed
:
L ran 900 m in 100 sec, therefore
= 9 m/sec is L's speed
and
F ran 810 m in 100 sec
= 8.1 m/sec is F's speed
:
Find how long it takes L to go 1000m at 9 m/sec
= 111.1 sec
Find how far F travels in 111.1 sec
111.1 * 8.1 = 900 meters
therefore
L will be 100 meters ahead of F, when she finishes
