Question 827594: two cyclist were 190 km apart left in 7:00 am. They travelled each other with rates of 32 and 44 kph. what time did they meet?
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let one travel x miles to meet
the other travels 109-x miles
the time they take is the same since they leave at the same time
x/32= (109-x)/44
44*x=32*(109-x)
44x= 32*109-32x
76x= 32*109
76x= 109*32
x= 109*32/76
x=45.9
t= d/r
=45.9/32
they meet after 1.43 hours
