X=Xo+Vot+at^2
X= final position
Xo=Initial position
Vo=Initial velocity
t=time
a= acceleration

The initial position (Xo) is zero: Xo=0
The acceleration is zero, because the man walks at a constant velocity: at^2=0
So what is left over is the equation: X=Vot
When you use this equation the units must match. 6 km/h does not match up with 5 minutes.
To resolve this, you convert 5 minutes into hours by dividing (5/60) which equals of an hour.
Finally, you use X= Vot and plug in the corresponding variables
X= (6)()
X= .5 kilometers, or 500 meters
So in 5 minutes, the man should have walked 500 meters.
