Question 810437: a train cover s distance in 50 mins , if it runs at a speed of 48kmph .the speed at which must run to reduce the time to 40 mins ?
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let distance be x
t=d/r
x/48 = 5/6 hours
x=48*5/6
=40
let y be the required speed to reduce the time
plug x
x/y = 2/3 hours
40/y = 2/3
y=3*40/2
y= 60 km/h
