Pedro and Alice raced two model trains along two straight tracks.
Pedro's train travelled 7.5 cm every minute. Alice's train travelled 7.5 cm every second.
How many centimeters had Alice's train travelled when Pedro's train had travelled 2.75 metres?
Pedro's train travels (7.5/60) cm /sec

2.75 m = 275 cm
speed = 7.5 cm/minute
speed = (7.5/60) cm/second
t=d/r
275/ (7.5/60) = time taken by Pedro's train to travel 2.75 m
275 *60/7.5
2750*60/75
=2200 seconds
Alice's train goes 7.5 cm/s
d= r*t
r=7.5 cm/s
time = 2200 seconds
Distance traveled in 2200 seconds = 2200 *7.5=16500 cm
