Question 795350: A 3¾-foot piece is cut from a 6-foot board. Find the length of the remaining piece of board.
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
6 - 3 3/4
Change 3 3/4 into quarters
= 15/4
6 - 15/4
Common denominator = 4
(24 - 15)/4
= 9/4
= 2 1/4 feet left.
Hope this helps.
