I'm really confused in my physics class and I'm not really sure how to calculate the distance and speed for my lab. If you know some equations to help me plug this into a calculator or something, that would help a lot.

Let's say I'm walking 2 minutes and 30 seconds every 130 meters, how long would it take for me to walk 5 km? and how long would it take if I were to walk a marathon of 26.2 miles.
:
Find your speed in meter/min (speed = dist/time)
Change 2 min 30 sec to 2.5 min
s =
s = 52 m/min is your speed
:
"how long would it take for me to walk 5 km?"
Time = dist/speed
Change 5 km to 5000 meters
t =
t = 96.154 min which is 96 + .154(60) = 96 min 9.23 sec

"how long would it take if I were to walk a marathon of 26.2 miles."
Change miles to km
1.609*26.2 = 42.156 km
Change to meters
1000 * 42.156 = 42156 meters
Find the time to cover this distance
t = = 810.7 minutes
that's 13 hrs 30 min 42 seconds
