Find the speed first
let s = original speed
then
(s-5) = slower speed
:
Since we using km/hr, change 45 min to .75 hrs and 48 min to .8 hrs
:
Write a distance equation dist = time * speed
.8(s-5) = .75s
.8s - 4 = .75s
.8s - .75s = 4
.05s = 4
s = 4/.05
s = 80 km/hr
Find the distance
.75 * 80 = 60 km is the distance from A to B
check the distance
.8 * 75 = 60 km
