Domenica and Javier start from the same location at the same time..
Javier rate = x mph
domenica rate = (x+4) mph
They are moving away from each other. effective rate = x+(x+4)=> 2x+4 mph
d=140 miles
t= 4
d=rt
140=(2x+4)*4
140=8x+16
140-16=8x
124=8x
/8
124/8=x
15.5
Javier rate = 15.5 mph
Domenica rate = 15.5+4 = 19.5 mph
