Two cars leave salt lake city, traveling in opposite directions one car travles at a speed of 80km/h and the other at 96km/h. In how many hours will they be 528km apart?
this is a rate*time=distance problem, so
80*t + 96*t = 528
176t = 528 = 528/176 and
t = 3
after 3 hours they will be 528km apart
