Question 757488: This question was assigned to me in my Physical Science college class.
- If a car travels 189km in 1 hour 30 minutes, what is its average speed?
this is how I tried to solve it, 189 divided by 90 equals 2.1, don't think that's correct?

Answer by fcabanski(1391)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distance = rate times time.

189 = rate x 90

189/90 = 2.1 kilometers per minute = 2.1 * 60 = 126 kilometers per hour.

Your answer is correct.
