Question 754099: A person can walk a certain distance and drive back in six hours. He can also walk both ways in 10 hours. How much time will he take to drive both ways?
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A distance can be walked and driven back from
in 6 hours
The distance can be walked there and back in 10 hours
therefore one leg of the journey can be walked in 10/2
= 5hours.
As the distance can be walked and driven back from
in 6 hours. 6 - 5 = 1 hour which is how long it takes
to drive the journey one way.
Therefore it will take 2 hours to drive both ways
