the formula for average speed is s=d/t where d stands for distance and t time
first of all change 30minutes to hours.
30mins=30/60=1/2h
s=d/t
s=60 divide by 1/2
by inverting i.e changing the division sign to multiplication by changing the position of the fraction at the right hand side,we have,
s=60 multiply 2/1
s=120miles per hour
