95/95=1???????? I know that isnt right

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
95 minutes = 60 min + 35 min

95 minutes = 1 hr + 35/60 hr

95 minutes = 1 hr + 0.583333 hr

95 minutes = 1.583333 hr

-------------------------------------------------------

d = rt

95 = r*0.583333

95/1.583333 = r

r = 60.0000126315817

Which is basically 60 mph (if we didn't have roundoff error, you would get 60 exactly)

What you did was divide 95 by 95 to get a speed in miles per minute. So 60 mph = 1 mile per minute. This makes sense because you have gone 95 miles in 95 minutes.
