Question 724017: Please help: A trucker maintained a constant speed and traveled 480 miles. On his way back he reduced his speed by 20 mph which increased the trip back by 4 hours. What was his speed on the way back?
Answer by richwmiller(17219) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
r*t=d
r*t=480
(r-20)*(t+4)=480
r = 60, t = 8
r-20=40 mph on trip back
