Question 716896: Please help me solve this word problem: Sally and Rocky travel toward each other from 350 km apart. Sally is biking at 90 km/h
and Rocky at 110 km/h. If they started at the same time, how many hours later will they
meet?
This is what i figured out so far but i'm not sure if it is right. it would take Sally 3.89 hours to get to 350 km and it takes Rocky 3.18 hours.

Answer by jndarrell(58)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Since the total distance between them is 350km, your time should be 'x'.
90x+110x=350
200x=350
x= 1.75
It would take them each 1hr 45 min to reach each other.
