a vehicle travelling at 90km/hr accelerates at 1.8m/s, calculate the distance it travels before it stops
---------------
acc must be negative, or it won't stop.
Also, acc = 1.8 m/sec/sec, not m/sec
--------------
v = 90 km/hr = 90000 m/3600 sec = 25 m/sec
--------
time to stop = 25/1.8 = 125/9 seconds
The average speed is 1/2 of 25 m/sec (25 m/sec at t = 0, 0 m/sec when stopped)
distance = vt/2 = 25*(125/(9*2)) = 173.6111... meters
