Question 712883: An airplane travels a distance of 900 km in 60 min. What is the airplane’s speed in m/s?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
900 km = 900*1000 = 900,000 meters
60 min = 60*60 = 3600 seconds
d = rt
900000 = r*3600
900000/3600 = r
r = 900000/3600
r = 250
So the speed is 250 m/s
