The question is for distance and time.
Total distance = miles.
Total time = hours.
Average speed = (Total Distance)/(Total Time) in miles per hour.

Answer by Simnepi(216) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
driving at 30 mph for quarter of an hour means you travel 7.5 miles
driving at 60 mph for three quarters of an hour means you travel 45 miles
This gives a total distance of 52.5 miles travelled in 1 hour
so the average speed is
52.5 mph
