If we are walking around a (i assume rectangular building) then we need to find the perimeter of the building.
P = 2l + 2w
P = 2(180) + 2(88) = 536 feet
There are 5,280 feet in a mile.
So we have to determine how many times does 536 go into 5,280
5280/536 = 9 and 57/67 or about 9.85 times around the building
10 times if we round it to the nearest whole number

Let the length of the building = 180ft
Let the width of the building = 88ft
The perimeter of the building is the distance around it.
The equation for the perimeter of a rectangle is P=2L+2W

There are 5280ft in 1 mile
5280ft / 536ft = 9.85
You would have to walk around the building 9.85 times to equal one mile.
