Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
it takes 6 quarts of feul for a pilot to fly 1000 miles. How many quarts are needed for 2500 miles.
---------------
6 quarts per 1000 miles = x quarts per 2500 miles
6/1000 = x/2500
1000x = 15000
x = 15 quarts
--------------
Or, it's 2.5 times as far --> 6*2.5
= 15 quarts
