Let d = distance of the swim:
Then (15-d) = distance of the bike run

Time = Dist/speed
:
Swim time + Bike time = 2.5 hrs
= 2.5

Multiply equation by 14 to get rid of the denominators:
7d + 2(15-d) = 14(2.5)
7d + 30 - 2d = 35
7d - 2d = 35 - 30
5d = 5
