Question 674412: hala can ride her bike 7 and 1/2 miles in 1 hour. how many can she ride in 3 hours? how many can she ride in 2/3 of an hour?
Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
distance = rate x time
Her rate is 7 and 1/2 miles per hour
-----------
D = ( 7 + 1/2 miles/hr ) x ( 3 hrs )
D = 21 + 3/2 miles
D = 22 + 1/2 miles
------------
D = ( 7 + 1/2 miles/hr ) x 2/3 hr
D = 14/3 + 2/6 miles
D = 14/3 + 1/3 miles
D = 4 + 2/3 + 1/3 miles
D = 5 miles
