Question 659723: It takes you 12 minutes to ride 2.5 miles. If you keep the same rate how long will it take you to ride 7 miles?
Answer by ReadingBoosters(3246)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
rate = d/t
First find the rate
r = 2.5m/12min
r = .21 mile/min
Rearrange to the equation to solve for time
r * t =d/t * t
rt = d
rt/r = d/r
t = d/r
Plug in knowns,
t = 7 mil / .21mil/min
t = 33.3 min
