What was the aircraft carrier's average speed?

Let s = the carrier's speed
then
(s+3) = container ship's speed

When the container catches the carrier, they will have traveled the same dist
Write a dist equation; dist = time * speed
The carrier traveled for 1 hr longer, 6 hrs
6s = 5(s+3)
