Question 649726: im stuck on this problem:
Use a formula to solve the problem.
Rose Parade floats travel down the 6.5-mile-long parade route at a rate of 2.5 mph. How long will it take a float to complete the route if there are no delays?
the answer box says "hr" right beside it but when i looked up how to do it [6.5=2.5(x)] right? anyways, my answer from that was 156, which wouldnt be an even hour. do you know what i mean? is that the right answer?

Answer by fcabanski(1391)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
D=Rt is the formula.

6.5 = 2.5 t and t=6.5/2.5 = 2.6 hr, or 156 minutes. I'm not sure why you converted to find the answer in minutes, but 156 is correct.

hr is the units. It doesn't mean it's a whole number of hours.
