Question 647282: Your schedule leaves you 45 minutes to get to work. You can travel the whole way by bus which averages 22 mph. Work is 11 miles away. Will you make it on time?
Answer by Edwin McCravy(20059) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The bus's speed of 22 mph means the bus travels 22 miles in 1 hour.
Since the bus travels 22 miles in 1 hour, it can travel half that,
which is 11 miles, in half of 1 hour, or 30 minutes. So yes he can make
it with 45-30, or 15 minutes to spare.
