Let d = distance to the target
Write a time equation: time = dist/speed
:
Bullet transit time + sound return time = 1.5 sec
+ = 1.5
multiply eq by 3300, results
d + 3d = 3300(1.5)
4d = 4950
d = 4950/4
d = 1237.5 ft
