If a car is traveling at 48 miles/hr, how many hrs does it taketo travel 1mile. Appox in secs?
Since it goes 48 miles in one hour, it goes one mile in 
one forty-eighth of an hour.

One forty-eighth of an hour is one forty-eighth of sixty minutes

     ×60 =  =  minutes.

Each minute is 60 seconds so  minutes is  times 60 seconds.

×60 = 75 seconds.

car travels 48 miles in an hr=60 mins = 3600 secs
so to travel 1 mile the time=3600/48=75 secs ans
