Question 636460: you have to drive 300 miles. for the first three hours, you drive 50 mph. how much longer will you have to drive if you increas your speed to 65 mph?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In the "first three hours, you drive 50 mph", so you've driven 3*50 = 150 miles so far
You need to travel the remaining 300 - 150 = 150 miles at 65 mph
So this will take you about 150/65 = 2.30769 hours
