Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Note that 16 ounces = 1 pound
3 pounds = 3 x 16 = 48 ounces
59 ( cents/ounce ) x 48 ( ounces ) = 2832 cents
2832 ( cents ) x 1/100 ( dollars/cents ) = 28.32
Three pounds of rice costs $28.32
