sum of speed of two trains is 723.5 mph. the first train is 6.5 mph faster than the second train.
find the speeds of each train.
:
Let s = speed of train B
then
(s+6.5) = speed of train A
:
s + (s+6.5) = 723.5
2s = 723.5 - 6.5
2s = 717
s = 717/2
s = 358.5 mph is train B
and
358.5 + 6.5 = 365 mph is train A
