If Dora works alone she will take 20 more hours to complete a task than if she worked with Boots. If Boots works alone, he will take 5 more hours to complete the task, than if he worked with Dora to complete the task. What is the ratio of the time taken by Dora to that taken by Boots if each of them worked alone to complete the task?

d=t+20
b=t+5
t/(t+20)+t/(t+5)=1
t=-10 t=10
t can't be negative.
t=10
d=30
b=15
30/15=d/b=2/1 or 2 to 1 ie 2:1 or twice as fast
