Question 614664: I need an algabraic equation for: i need to finish the 10 km run in 43 minutes how fast must i run each km?

Answer by Theo(13342)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
rate * time equals distance.
distance is equal to 10 km
time is equal to 43 minutes
equation becomes:"
rate * 43 minutes = 10 km
divide both sides of this equation by 43 minutes to get:
rate = 10 km / 43 minutes which results in:
rate = .232558140 km per minute.
since rate * time = distance, then:
.232558140 km per minute * 43 minutes is equal to 10 km.
if you let R equal rate and T equal time and D equal distance, then your equation is:
R * T = D
solve for R to get:
R = D / T
This is hat gets you R = 10 / 43 which results in R = .232558140 km/m
