distance = 750 miles ; time = 2.5 hrs ; rate = d/t = 750/2.5 = 300 mph

With wind DATA:
distance = 750 miles ; time = 2 hrs ; rate = d/t = 750/2 = 375 mph

Equations:
p + c = 375
p - c = 300

Add and solve for "p":
2p = 675
p = 337.5 mph (speed of the plane in still air)

p + c = 375
337.5 + c = 375
c = 37.5 mph (speed of the wind)
