d/40 = t + 5/60
d/50 = t - 3/60
------------- Subtract
d/200 = 8/60
d = 1600/60 km
d = 80/3 km
------
t = (80/3)/40 - 5/60 = 2/3 - 1/12
t = 7/12 hr
t = 35 minutes to be "on time"
