Question 547482: A pilot in an airplane flying at 25,000 ft sees two towns directly ahead of her in a straight line. The angles of the depression to the towns are 25 degrees and 50 degrees, respectively. To the nearest foot, how far apart are the towns?
The answer is 32,635 ft but I'm not sure how to get that. Thank you.

the distance to an object is the altitude divided by the tangent of the angle of depression

find the distances to the towns and then subtract to find the distance between them
