Question 534124: Two trains leave stations 156 miles apart the same time and travel toward each other. One train travels at 55 miles per hour other travels 75 miles per hour. How long will it take for the two trains to meet?
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
train I speed = 55 mph
Train II speed = 75 mph
They are travelling towrads each other.
So the effective speed = 75+55= 130 mph
distance = 156 miles
Time = distance / speed
time = 156/130
Time = 1.2 hours
