Question 528000: You drive a car 9 h at 45 km/h, then 9 h at 69 km/h. What is your average velocity?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
At first, you've traveled 9*45 = 405 km

Afterwards, you've traveled 9*69 = 621 km

Add these two distances to get a total distance traveled of 405+621 = 1026 km

This is all over a time-span of 9+9 = 18 hrs

So the average speed is 1026/18 = 57 km/hr
